“Cow to Cone Fresh” Mister Goodies sources all our ice cream mix locally from Richlands Dairy, located in Blackstone, Virginia. We are the only ice cream shop in the Lynchburg area to use milk from a Virginia dairy, showing our commitment to supporting the local economy. Our soft serve and homemade ice cream are also corn syrup free.

  • We are a seasonal business open March through October.

  • No. We are an independently owned and operated business. Mister Goodies was started by Doug and Rhonda Ulrich in 2004. Mister Goodies is proud to be locally owned.

  • Yes! In fact, Mister Goodies is proud to offer more Dairy Free/Vegan options than any other ice cream shop in Virginia. We carry flavors of Dairy Free ice cream that we proudly make in house. In addition to that, we can make Dairy Free Storms, milkshakes, or sundaes. The possibilities are endless.

  • The short answer is: it depends. Our soft serve vanilla, chocolate, dreamsicle, and Flavorburst flavors are gluten and egg free. Other flavors like our Oreo hard serve contain gluten and our cookie dough ice cream contains egg. The best bet is to let us know when you’re ordering that you have a specific allergy so we can take extra precautions and alert you if a specific item contains an allergen.

  • Sunday through Thursday, 12:00-10:00. Friday & Saturday, 12:00-10:30

  • We make our own ice cream. Mister Goodies has an on-site commercial kitchen where we make all 16 of our hard serve ice cream flavors and our 8 Vegan/Dairy Free options. Our soft serve flavors are made in house as well. We believe “homemade is better”

  • We sell a low sugar soft serve called Only 8. It is “Only 8” calories per ounce and sweetened with a natural fruit based sugar. While it’s not 100% sugar free, it is low sugar.

  • We’re pretty much always busy. But here’s the thing: with 3 serving windows, the line moves fast and the average wait time is never more than 15-20 minutes (and that’s during our peak busy hour). After 20 years, Mister Goodies has perfected the art of serving our customers quickly and efficiently. Don’t let the line scare you away, it moves fast!
